Neutrophils (also known as polymorphonuclear leukocytes) are a type of white blood cell, making up 40% to 70% of all white blood cells in humans. They act as an essential part of the innate immune system in our body.

호중구(好中球)는 인간에서 가장 높은 비율(40-70%)을 차지하는 백혈구로, 우리 몸의 선천 면역 체계에서 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있습니다.

Neutrophils are a type of phagocyte normally found in the bloodstream. During the beginning, acute  phase of inflammation, particularly as a result of bacterial infection, environmental exposure, and some cancers, neutrophils are one of the first responders of inflammatory cells to migrate toward the site of inflammation.

호중구는 포식세포의 일종으로 혈류를 따라 순환하며, 염증, 특히 급성 염증에서, 세균 감염, 환경에의 노출, 특정 암에 대해 가장 빨리 반응하는 세포 중 하나입니다.
